Any questions for which you cannot find an answer on this webpage? We would love to answer your question via one of those options:
This PPPC is research-based, using contemporary scientific research. In fact, our module teachers are at the forefront of positive psychology research, shaping our knowledge and understanding of the field. This course is based upon their work, ensuring that the theory and practice we offer have been tested and found to be effective.
The PPPC takes a minimum of 12 weeks to complete (3 months).
Each week a different world-expert in positive psychology will offer his/her teaching and practice.
You can take as much time as you want to complete the course. All modules are open after 12 weeks, and you could complete the course at the end of those 12 weeks. However, you could also study more slowly and complete the course in 6, 12 or even 24 months – whatever works best for you and your schedule.
This course is part of our school’s Community, an online Discussion Forum, where we invite you to ask questions, share your experiences with the course activities (both triumphs and challenges), connect with our course group facilitators, and build an inspiring relationship with like-minded fellow students. We have thousands of students as part of this community and it is filled with lively discussions and beautiful support.
Our course facilitators for this online community discussion forum are experienced Positive Psychologists. We will make sure you feel welcome, supported, and engaged
Yes. We offer a live Q&A session in our online community forum to answer all your questions. Questions could be relating to anything around your courses: a practice-related question, something to do with a theoretical concept you are unsure about, some technical issue that you have, a conflict to do with advertising yourself – we are here to support you with anything you are unsure about. Please note that these live sessions are optional; they are not mandatory for your course completion. Full details and schedule included in the course online platform and in our online community forum.
Every week you have 90 minutes of recorded videos + 3 academic readings + 3 popular science readings + 18 Positive Psychology interventions, from which you need to choose one (or complete more if you wish). This should take, on average, about 10 hours per week (per module).
However, there is great flexibility here: you could drop some of the readings and complete a single intervention (if it’s a busy week); or you could complete all readings and interventions (if you have more time and wish to challenge yourself). Each of those would decrease/increase the number of hours, according to your schedule and availability.
Also, you will probably have weeks in which you are on vacation or too busy with work or other obligations. In such a week, you won’t be engaging with the PPPC, and that’s perfectly fine. Our course is structured in a way that would work for you, even if you are very busy. The modules would remain open for as long as you need, allowing you to complete the course at a pace that works for your personal schedule.
Finally, all modules are open for the entire duration of the course, so that you could always go back to any module if you wish.
As part of the PPPC there are two assignments you need to complete:
1. The first assignment are a few Multiple Choice questions that you will find as part of the online learning platform at the end of each module. We would like to ensure that this is not an anxiety-provoking experience, so if you don’t know the right answers you can try again – this is simply an assignment that allows us to ensure that our graduates engaged with and contemplated the experts’ taught materials.
2. The second assignment is your Transformational Journal, or, in short, TJ. During the course you will be asked to reflect and write about your experiences with the interventions and exercises – for example how was it to run the intervention with yourself? How was it running it with someone else? What were the main challenges? What did you learn? You will write about those questions, and others, in your TJ. Which means that TJ will be your best friend during the course, reflecting your journey of transformation and what you have learned along the way. Research shows that writing about your experiences deepens the learning experience, so we encourage you to create a regular space and time for your reflective entries.
Yes! All of the recorded videos include the option to turn on English Subtitles and download the transcript (written text) of the video.
The course fees are 590 US Dollars. If you pay with a different currency, the fees will be converted automatically to your local currency.
You can also choose a payment plan of 2 monthly payments (2 X $300), or 3 monthly payments (3 X $200). Payments are made once per month (with the first one made immediately as you enroll).
You can pay with any credit/debit card or through PayPal.
Once you complete all 12 modules you will receive a formal and accredited Positive Psychology Practitioner Certificate.
