“Daddy, can I add ketchup to my cereal”?
That’s the question I was confronted with when my little boy had his breakfast today.

I was going to reply with “no, we are not supposed to add ketchup to our cereal, that’s a yucky combination”.
And then I paused. Who the fuck decided that ketchup should not be added to cereal?
With a smile I replied “sure, go ahead”.
He then finished his entire bowl of ketchup-cereal with great joy.
